How's everyone doing? It's a rainy Monday and I hope you've all managed to stay dry and safe. If you got wet from the rain, make sure to hit the shower right after and/or pop some Vitamin C to avoid catching a flu or colds.
Anyway for today, I wanna show you this gorgeous new makeup collection from AVON. I was able to meet the sweet and pretty Bianca (of Buensalido and Associates PR) who personally handed me their new makeup which features their newest innovation, True Color Technology.
Their new eyewear and lipwear makeup collection features True Color Technology making this new line more vibrant, ultra-wearable and loaded with high-impact colors that stay true to the shade that you see on the package -- what you see is what you get!
True Color Eyeshadow Quad, Php449
Avon’s essential shadow collection is reformulated with True Color Technology for rich, saturated color that glides on exactly as in the palette. Stays color true without fading or creasing. Designed with every skin tone in mind. 6 Quads available with new packaging that features step-by-step application education.
Available in shades: Emerald Cut, Chocolate Sensation, Jeans, Vibrant Spice, Purple Pop and Pastel Sweets
Top: Emerald Cut, Vibrant Spice
Bottom: Chocolate Sensation
True Color Eyeshadow Quad in Emerald Cut
1 Shimmering Beige
2 Softened Peach
3 Green Metal
4 Blackened Emerald
This palette is great for a day to night makeup look as it has both pastels and darker colors.
True Color Eyeshadow Quad in Chocolate Sensation
1 Shimmering Beige
2 Milk Chocolate
4 Black Brown
This palette is a great for everyday makeup and for those who aren't ready yet to go colorful. The colors are office friendly. I think this can also double up as an eyebrow palette too!
True Color Eyeshadow Quad in Vibrant Spice
2 Lush Lavender
3 Shimmering Copper
4 Caramelized Plum
The palettes are housed in shiny black packaging, which I am not a fan of. I hate seeing traces of my fingers on it and I end up always trying to wipe it off. OC? (laughs) I love that it comes with a huge mirror inside and that the packaging easily pops open. But I noticed that the shade "blackened emerald" has been spelled "blackned emerald" instead on the Emerald Cut quad and that on the Vibrant Spice quad, the shades for Number 2 and 3 have been interchanged. I'm not sure if it's the same with all the other quads of the same shade..or some quads have these errors as well. Let's just hope that their printing department makes sure that there's no printing errors like these in their future products.
As for the product itself, the color payoff is really good. Indeed, true to what you see on the pan. Swatches above were done without a primer and they appear pigmented even on the first swipe. I'll show you a sample look later and I'm glad to say that my eye makeup stayed put for hours without creasing! And lastly, it comes with an illustration of what shade should be applied on what part of the eye area.
Now, the lipsticks:
Ultra Color Lipsticks, Php379

The new formula also features lip-nourishing Shea Butter, Omega Oil, Arctic Berry, and Vitamin E and makes lips feel smooth and moisturized instantly. New packaging offers a clear view window so you can see your shade instantly. Designed to complement different skin tones. Carnation, a nice baby pink shade for those with fair skintones
Country Rose, a frosted light red/cherry for those who want to try out reds but not too red
Hibiscus, an almost neon pink for the young ones and for the young-at-heart. It reminds me of some lipsticks from MAC.
Lava Love, a Marilyn Monroe-type of red
Tangerine Tango, reminds me of MAC Morange and will look good on both with fair and medium skintones.
Carnation - Country Rose - Hibiscus - Lava Love - Tangerine Tango
I am keeping Carnation and Hibiscus...the rest goes to my Mom!
Packaged again in a shiny black tube, but unlike their other lipsticks, this one has a window on top so you'd see the shade immediately.
They are pigmented, glides easily on the lips and doesn't dry the lips. No need for a separate gloss too! Stays put for 3-4hours and some would even leave a bit of stain.
And last but not the least, the lipglosses:
